Kaithi Ek Itihaas is a 26 min short documentary commissioned by the Public Service Broadcast Trust as part of their Film Fellowships in collaboration with Doordarshan. The film looks into the now-lost script 'Kaithi', which was a widely used script in Bihar and other parts of North India, and traces its gradual demise and now present-extinction. It tries to draw parallels between its history and contemporary Bihar, along with looking at the history of Kaithi to delve into important milestones in Indian history.
